Comments Later homonym of Cleveia Pantocsek in Tempère 1895. Clevia and Cleveia are considered homonyms. Mereschkowsky 1902 says, p. 193: "Under this name (Clevia) I propose to unite the Naviculae Punctatae and Lyratae which have all two plates placed on the surface of both valves". See also Mereschkowsky 1903, p. 27, 28 (ref. 001384) where similar comments are made in German. No species cited in either papers. Farr et al. (1979) give Mereshchowsky 1903, p. 27 (ref. 001384) as the original publication. The descriptive matter in both papers is very brief and perhaps insufficient for valid publication.
