DIAGNOSIS
This is the only species of Myrmeleon in Madagascar with a medial pale stripe on the pronotum.

MNHN, Paris.
TYPE LOCALITY
Two syntype females: Madagascar, near Tulear (Toliara), 130-97, Bastard.
GEOGRAPHICAL DISTRIBUTION
This species is known at this time from three localities in the southern part of the island.
TEMPORAL DISTRIBUTION
December and February.
ELEVATION
180 to 500 m.
