DIAGNOSIS
 Of the six species of Madagascar Neuroleon this species has the heaviest dark markings and largest size of any of them. The partial dark band across the forewing at the level of the apex of CuP will serve to separate this species from all others.

This species is known only from scattered localities in the southern part of the country.
