DIAGNOSIS
This species looks very similar to Nemoleon madegassus, but can be separated from this, and all other Nemoleon, by the presence of toothed tarsal claws.This distinctive species has crenulate (= undulating) hind margins to the wings and apices are pointed.

GEOGRAPHICAL DISTRIBUTION
This species is known only from the type specimen. The published locality is Tamataus [presumably Tamatave], but the label on the type specimen reads Tananarive [now Antananarivo].
TEMPORAL DISTRIBUTION
The only known record is from January.
