Diagnosis

This is a large, broad-winged species with abundant speckled spots on both wings.  The extension at the base of the hind margin of the forewing is reduced to a small, rounded lobe.

Type Locality

Madagascar: (no specific locality, no date), Rene Martin, 1 male, 1 female syntypes.

Geographical Distribution

This species is endemic to Madagascar and is seldom collected.  Its distribution appears to be confined to forested areas.
