Diagnosis
This medium-sized species has a red mark on the gena that can extend along the margin of the eyes onto the vertex (faded in older specimens). Palpi are dark. Antennae are pale. The wings are pale green with green gradate veins that are margined by subtle gray shading on the membrane.

MOZAMBIQUE: Luabo, delta of Zambesi River, 50 mi from the sea, 29 July - 10 August 1957, P. Stuckenberg, 1 male.
Geographical Distribution
In addition to South Africa, this species has been reported from Bioko (Hölzel and Monserrat, 1992) and São Tome (Penny, 2005) Islands in the Gulf of Guinea and Madagascar (Hölzel and Ohm, 1992). No specific localities have been recorded for Madagascar.
Temporal Distribution
Unknown.
Elevation
In South Africa and São Tome this species has been found at low elevations near the coast.
