Hackar’s Four-toed Skink, Leptosiaphos hackarsi

 

Family Scincidae. Members of this family are diurnal, terrestrial, smooth, shiny, and lack a well-defined neck. This species was often seen moving in exposed areas on sunny days.

Size: 56.1 mm. SV

Habitat: high altitude in leaf litter, under logs and mosses, along road edges at the base of road cuts. CAS 201776-77 were found in leaf litter retreating between mats of mosses on rock surfaces.

Range: Uganda and Congo.
