Africa elephant, Loxodonta africana

A herd of about 80 elephant still live in the forest. Their presence occasionally causes problems for the dense human population surrounding the forest, especially regarding crop damage.

Most visitors never see the Arabuko-Sokoke elephants but their sign is common throughout the forest.
