Current status: Valid as Hemibrycon tridens Eigenmann 1922. Characidae: Hemibryconinae. Distribution: South America: Río Apurimac drainage, upper Ucayali River basin (Peru). IUCN (2016): Least Concern. Habitat: freshwater.
