Habitat: brackish, marine. assellinus, Tetrodon Solander [D. C.] in Richardson 1845:123 [Ichthyology.--Part 3. The zoology of the voyage of H. M. S. Sulphur.; ref. 20575] Not available, Solander name mentioned in text under Tetrodon spadiceus and although some text is presented from Solander's manuscript, no distinguishing features are presented.
