M.] 1958:53, Fig. 1 [Stanford Ichthyological Bulletin v. 7 (no. 3); ref. 12061] North Pacific, about 900 miles west of Crescent City, California, 41°39'N, 139°02'W, about 65-70 fathoms depth (stomach content). Holotype: USNM 175362. Paratypes: CAS-SU 51023 (1), USNM 175363 (3). •Valid as Nansenia candida Cohen 1958 -- (Matarese et al. 1989:54 [ref. 26885], McAllister 1990:70 [ref. 14674], Balanov & Fedorov 1996:344 [ref. 24646], Sheiko & Fedorov 2000:18 [ref. 25650], Mecklenburg et al. 2002:148 [ref. 25968], Love et al. 2005:28 [ref. 37547], Maslenikov et al. 2013:2 [ref. 37947], Parin et al. 2014:109 [ref. 33547], Burton & Lea 2019:38 [ref. 37205], Love et al. 2021:48 [ref. 39279], Page et al. 2023:81 [ref. 40505]). Current status: Valid as Nansenia candida Cohen 1958. Microstomatidae. Distribution: North Pacific: Honshu (Japan) north to southern Bering Sea; Gulf of Alaska (U.S.A.) south to Pacific coast of Baja California (Mexico). Habitat: marine.
