Neotype: BMNH 1867.11.28.21. Syntypes and/or Bleeker specimens: (20) AMS B.7757 (1), BMNH 1867.11.28.21 (1), RMNH 7128 (2), 17775 (some of 18). Whitehead et al. 1966 suggest BMNH 1867.11.28.21 as putative neotype. Neotype selected by Hata et al. 2022:1149 [ref. 39631]. •Synonym of Dussumieria acuta Valenciennes 1847 -- (Whitehead & Ben-Tuvia 1973:110 [ref. 7170], Dor 1984:39 [ref. 29757], Munroe et al. 1999:1792 [ref. 24728]). •Synonym of Dussumieria elopsoides Bleeker 1849 -- (Whitehead 1985:29 [ref. 5141], Munroe et al. 1999:1793 [ref. 24728]). •Valid as Dussumieria hasseltii Bleeker 1851 -- (Hata et al. 2022:1145 [ref. 39631], Hata 2023:9 [ref. 40296]). Current status: Valid as Dussumieria hasseltii Bleeker 1851. Dussumieriidae. Distribution: Indo-West Pacific: Gulf of Oman, India, east to western Indonesia and Philippines. Habitat: marine.
