Current status: Valid as Lepophidium pardale (Gilbert 1890). Ophidiidae: Ophidiinae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Pacific coast of southern Baja California Sur (Mexico) south to Peru, including Gulf of California (Mexixo) and ?Galápagos Islands (Ecuador). Habitat: marine.
