Holotype: USNM 74129. Paratypes: ?BMNH 1939.4.1.9 [ex USNM] (1); USNM 99052 (1), 99055-56 (2, 1), 99064-65 (2, 1), 99240 (1), 99259 (1). •Valid as Neobythites fasciatus Smith & Radcliffe 1913 -- (Okamura in Okamura et al. 1982:183, 354 [ref. 8256], Nielsen & Cohen in Nielsen et al. 1999:82 [ref. 24448], Nielsen 1999:1981 [ref. 24753], Nielsen in Randall & Lim 2000:596 [ref. 25122], Nielsen 2002:28 [ref. 26394], Su et al. 2023:251 [ref. 40661]). Current status: Valid as Neobythites fasciatus Smith & Radcliffe 1913. Ophidiidae: Neobythitinae. Distribution: Western Pacific: Philippines north to Taiwan. Habitat: marine.
