Holotype: ASZIB [now NZMC] 51100 [ex H2057]. Paralectotypes: ASZIB [now NZMC] (30). Type catalog: Zhang 1996:498 [ref. 24036], Ye et al. 2015:89 [ref. 33808] with a lectotype. •Possibly valid -- (Kottelat 2006:18 [ref. 28831]). •Synonym of Brachymystax tumensis Mori 1930 -- (Bogutskaya et al. 2008:345 [ref. 30085] as tsilingensis). •Synonym of Brachymystax lenok (Pallas 1773), but a valid subspecies tsinlingensis Li 1966 -- (Kim 1997:356 [ref. 24032], Yue & Chen 1998:35 [ref. 26415], Kim & Park 2002:276 [ref. 25913], Choi et al. 2003:194, 529 [ref. 26218], Jang et al. 2003:119 [ref. 27681], Ye et al. 2015:89 [ref. 33808], Zhang et al. 2016:188 [ref. 34477], Ko et al. 2021:76 [ref. 38856]). •Valid as Brachymystax tsinlingensis Li 1966 -- (Xing et al. 2015:191 [ref. 33820], Bogdanov & Knizhin 2022:1695 [ref. 40154]). Current status: Valid as Brachymystax tsinlingensis Li 1966. Salmonidae: Salmoninae. Distribution: East Asia: Qinling Mountains, Yangtze and Yellow River basins, China; southeastern Korea. Habitat: freshwater.
