monroviae, Roloffia Roloff [E.] & Ladiges [W.] 1972:299, Fig. [Die Aquarien- und Terrarienzeitschrift (DATZ) v. 25 (no. 9); ref. 7584] Forest pool, about 25 miles from Monrovia, about 6°19'N, 10°48'W, Liberia. Holotype: ZMH 4654. Paratypes: ZMH 4655-56 (1, 7). Type catalog: Wilkens 1977:160 [ref. 22013]. Also appeared in Roloff & Ladiges 1972 [Dec.] [2], 1 fig. [ref. 30315]. More specific data on the type locality - A waterhole on a rubber plantation north of Mount Barclay, about 12 miles (~19 km) from Monrovia in Liberia (app. 6°22'10"N, 10°40'30"W) - are given by Dinesen [ref. 34430]. •Valid as Aphyosemion monroviae (Roloff & Ladiges 1972) -- (Wildekamp et al. 1986:226 [ref. 6198], Paugy et al. 1990:341 [ref. 26477], Romand in Lévêque et al. 1992:597 [ref. 21590]). •Valid as Fundulopanchax monroviae (Roloff & Ladiges 1972) -- (Wildekamp 1996:190 [ref. 23649]). •Valid as Callopanchax monroviae (Roloff & Ladiges 1972) -- (Lazara 2001:65 [ref. 25711], Sonnenberg & Busch 2010:3 [ref. 30789], Costa 2015:141 [ref. 35411]). Current status: Valid as Callopanchax monroviae (Roloff & Ladiges 1972). Nothobranchiidae. Distribution: Liberia, western Africa. Habitat: freshwater.
