Current status: Valid as Enneapterygius pusillus Rüppell 1835. Tripterygiidae: Tripterygiinae. Distribution: Red Sea; western Indian Ocean: KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa), East Africa, Persian Gulf, Socotra (Yemen) and Gulf of Oman east to southern India. Habitat: marine.
