Holotype (unique): USNM 48258. •Valid as Gobulus crescentalis (Gilbert 1892) -- (Allen & Robertson 1994:265 [ref. 22193], Hoese in Fischer et al. 1995:1135 [ref. 22829], Thomson et al. 2000:237 [ref. 25640], Hoese & Reader 2001:172 [ref. 26036], Nelson et al. 2004:172 [ref. 27807], Love et al. 2005:162 [ref. 37547], Van Tassell 2011:154 [ref. 31732], Page et al. 2013:177 [ref. 32708], Tornabene et al. 2016:13 [ref. 34435], Love et al. 2021:205 [ref. 39279]). Current status: Valid as Gobulus crescentalis (Gilbert 1892). Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Pacific coast of central Baja California (Mexico) south to Panama, including Gulf of California (Mexico). Habitat: marine.
