Lectotype selected by Krupp & Schneider 1989:402 [ref. 13651]. •Valid as Tristramella sacra (Günther 1865) -- (Goren 1974:105 [ref. 7502], Krupp & Schneider 1989:401 [ref. 13651], Snoeks & Teugels 1991:519 [ref. 20951], Çiçek et al. 2023:468 [ref. 40601], Saad et al. 2023:40 [ref. 40501], Çiçek et al. 2024:336 [ref. 40789]). Current status: Valid as Tristramella sacra (Günther 1865). Cichlidae: Pseudocrenilabrinae. Distribution: Middle East: Lake Kinneret (Israel). Habitat: freshwater.
