bibulus, Wamizichthys Smith [J. L. B.] 1954:205, Fig. 3 [Annals and Magazine of Natural History (Series 12) v. 7 (no. 75) (art. 32); ref. 4091] Wamizi Island, East Africa, western Indian Ocean. Holotype: SAIAB [formerly RUSI] 144. Paratypes: SAIAB [formerly RUSI] 3616-19 (1, 1, 1, 3). •Valid as Chlidichthys bibulus (Smith 1954) -- (Lubbock 1977:14 [ref. 7039], Smith 1986:540 [ref. 5712], Gill & Edwards 2004:9 [ref. 28143], Gill & Zajonz 2011:5 [ref. 31637], Zajonz et al. 2019:72 [ref. 36871], Gill 2022:126 [ref. 39748]). Current status: Valid as Chlidichthys bibulus (Smith 1954). Pseudochromidae: Pseudoplesiopinae. Distribution: Western Indian Ocean: East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique) east to Socotra (Yemen) and Aldabra (Seychelles). Habitat: marine.
