Type catalog: Walschaerts 1987:25 [ref. 20755], Derijst 1991:71 [ref. 21528]. •Valid as Chelidonichthys gabonensis (Poll & Roux 1955) -- (Richards 1968:98 [ref. 7911], Richards & Saksena 1990:681 [ref. 17757], Wirtz et al. 2013:122 [ref. 32972], Richards 2016:2304 [ref. 35044], Almeida & Alves 2019:273 [ref. 37509], Reiner 2019:160 [ref. 38139], Fermon et al. 2022:293 [ref. 39448]). Current status: Valid as Chelidonichthys gabonensis (Poll & Roux 1955). Triglidae: Triglinae. Distribution: Eastern Atlantic: Senegal south to Angola, including Cape Verde Islands, and São Tomé and Principe. Habitat: marine.
