Current status: Valid as Brachygobius kabiliensis Inger 1958. Gobiidae: Gobionellinae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Andaman Sea coast (southern Thailand), Singapore and northern Borneo (Malaysia). IUCN (2021): Least concern. Habitat: freshwater, brackish.
