Syntypes: MNHN 0000-1872 (2). Type catalog: Bertin & Estève 1948:13 [ref. 19574], Monkolprasit 1969:8 [ref. 25088]. Appeared as name only in Bleeker 1865:35 [ref. 17029] and in Bleeker 1865:175 [ref. 413]. Described by Sauvage as above. •Questionably valid as Labribarbus siamensis (Sauvage 1881) -- (Kottelat 1984:801 [ref. 11440]). •Valid as Labiobarbus siamensis (Sauvage 1881) -- (Roberts 1994:325 [ref. 22596], Kottelat 1995:428 [ref. 22833], Doi 1997:7 [ref. 22832], Kottelat 2001:58 [ref. 25780], Taki et al. 2021:155 [ref. 39830]). Current status: Valid as Labiobarbus siamensis (Sauvage 1881). Cyprinidae: Labeoninae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Chao Phraya and Mekong River basins, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. Habitat: freshwater.
