Also appeared in Kner 1859:142, Pl. 2 (fig. 3) [ref. 2631], apparently later. •Valid as Cyphocharax abramoides (Kner 1858) -- (Vari 1992:17 [ref. 19020] with holotype as NMW 67905 and date as 1859, Vari in Reis et al. 2003:54 [ref. 27061], Dutra et al. 2016:163 [ref. 34378], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:42 [ref. 35633], Bortolo et al. 2018:349 [ref. 36016], Silvano et al. 2020:107 [ref. 38133]). Current status: Valid as Cyphocharax abramoides (Kner 1858). Curimatidae. Distribution: South America: Amazon River basin (Brazil, Colombia and Venezuela). Habitat: freshwater.
