Type catalog: Ferraris 2007:66 [ref. 29155]. •Valid as Astroblepus praeliorum Allen 1942 -- (Ortega & Vari 1986:18 [ref. 9708], Burgess 1989:449 [ref. 12860], Schaefer in Reis et al. 2003:314 [ref. 27061], Ferraris 2007:66 [ref. 29155], Ardila Rodríguez 2014:3 [ref. 33721] with parentheses around author, Ardila Rodríguez 2014:5 [ref. 33776] as praeliorum). Current status: Valid as Astroblepus praeliorum Allen 1942. Astroblepidae. Distribution: Upper Marañón River basin, Peru. Habitat: freshwater.
