Syntypes: (many) MCZ 35972 [ex USNM 30841] (5), MCZ 36005 [ex USNM 30821] (7), USNM 29668, USNM 30821, USNM 30841. Genus misprinted Fundnlus in original description. Replacement name for Adinia multifasciata Girard 1860, at one time secondarily preoccupied in Fundulus by Hydrargyra multifasciata Lesueur 1817. Replacement Name. Current status: Valid as Fundulus xenicus Jordan & Gilbert 1882. Fundulidae. Distribution: Southeastern U.S.A. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
