Originally as diplogramma -- the name diplogramma is apparently a noun; that is the correct spelling when in Channa. •Valid as Channa diplogramme (Day 1865) -- (Kottelat 1998:116 [ref. 23436]). •Synonym of Channa micropeltes (Cuvier 1831) -- (Roberts 1989:170 [ref. 6439] as diplogramma, Courtenay & Williams 2004:94 [ref. 27545] as diplogramma). •Valid as Channa diplogramma Day 1865 -- (Benziger et al. 2011:4 [ref. 31366], Kottelat 2013:441 [ref. 32989], Rüber et al. 2019:[3] [ref. 36913]). Current status: Valid as Channa diplogramma (Day 1865). Channidae. Distribution: South Asia: southern India. Habitat: freshwater.
