Type catalog: Tanner 1970:220 [ref. 23524]. •Synonym of Gila robusta Baird & Girard 1853, but a valid subspecies -- (Lee et al. 1980:172 [ref. 22416], La Rivers 1994:393 [ref. 23389], Gilbert 1998:98 [ref. 23395], Scharpf 2005:19 [ref. 28940], Page & Burr 2011:165 [ref. 31215]). •Valid as Gila jordani Tanner 1950 -- (Minckley & Marsh 2009:133 [ref. 31114], Page et al. 2013:71 [ref. 32708], Copus et al. 2018:6 [ref. 36179], Page et al. 2023:70 [ref. 40505]). Current status: Valid as Gila jordani Tanner 1950. Leuciscidae: Laviniinae. Distribution: North America: Nevada (U.S.A.). Habitat: freshwater.
