Syntypes: BMNH 1891.12.29.13 (1) lower Congo, 1899.9.6.11 (1) Stanley Pool. Non-types: BMNH 1898.11.17.18-19 (2). Current status: Valid as Distichodus lusosso Schilthuis 1891. Distichodontidae. Distribution: Central Africa: Congo River basin (Democratic Republic of Congo). Habitat: freshwater.
