Lectotype selected by Sakai & Nakabo 2004:30 [ref. 27596]. •Synonym of Kyphosus bigibbus Lacepède 1801 -- (Dor 1984:167 [ref. 29757], Sakai & Nakabo 2004:25 [ref. 27596], Knudsen & Clements 2013:23 [ref. 33031], Heemstra 2022:342 [ref. 39773]). Current status: Synonym of Kyphosus bigibbus Lacepède 1801. Kyphosidae. Habitat: marine.
