Paratypes: MMNHN 1889-1991 and 2233-2248 (39). •Valid as Hemimyzon yaotanensis (Fang 1931) -- (Kottelat & Chu 1988:194 [ref. 13491], Li in Ding 1994:432 [ref. 21531], Zhu 1995:138 [ref. 25213], Doi & Kottelat 1998:7 [ref. 23304], Chen & Tang in Yue 2000:539 [ref. 25272], Tang & Chen 2000:8 [ref. 25445], Chen & Fang 2009:[5] [ref. 30109], Kunlapapuk et al. 2012:119 [ref. 32192], Kottelat 2012:48-49 [ref. 32367], Zhang et al. 2016:166 [ref. 34477], Zhang et al. 2019:446 [ref. 36699], Guo 2021:696 [ref. 38618]). Current status: Valid as Hemimyzon yaotanensis (Fang 1931). Balitoridae. Distribution: Upper Yangtze River basin, China. Habitat: freshwater.
