Type catalog: Fricke 1991:14 [ref. 13474] with species spelled pseudoacanthopomus and SMNS 10595 as holotype, Fricke 2005:36 [ref. 29864]. •Synonym of Eleotris fusca (Bloch & Schneider 1801) -- (Kottelat 2013:392 [ref. 32989]). •Valid as Eleotris pseudacanthopomus Bleeker 1853 -- (Miller 1998:289 [ref. 24950] as pseudacantha on some pages, Mennesson & Keith 2020:186 [ref. 37852], Parenti 2021:39 [ref. 38603] as pseudacanthopoma). ▐ Synonym of Eleotris melanosoma Bleeker 1853 -- (Mennesson et al. 2021:480 [ref. 38793], Parenti 2021:37 [ref. 38603]).
