Type catalog: Bauchot et al. 1991:30 [ref. 19958]. •Synonym of Yongeichthys nebulosus (Forsskål 1775) -- (Maugé 1986:387 [ref. 6218]). •Probably in genus Acentrogobius -- (Larson & Wright 2003:130 [ref. 27481]). •Questionably a synonym of Acentrogobius viridipunctatus (Valenciennes 1837) -- (Kottelat 2013:398 [ref. 32989]). •Valid as Acentrogobius decaryi (Pellegrin 1932) -- (Jawad et al. 2016:1 [ref. 34964], Fricke et al. 2018:323 [ref. 35805], Parenti 2021:79 [ref. 38603], Larson 2022:33 [ref. 39965]). Current status: Valid as Acentrogobius decaryi (Pellegrin 1932). Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Southwestern Indian Ocean: Madagascar endemic. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
