Holotype (unique): MCZ 6024. •Synonym of Parupeneus bifasciatus (Lacepède 1801) -- (Fricke 1999:311 [ref. 24106]). •Synonym of Parupeneus cyclostomus (Lacepède 1801) -- (Randall 2004:22 [ref. 28086], Uiblein & Randall 2022:360 [ref. 39855]). Current status: Synonym of Parupeneus cyclostomus (Lacepède 1801). Mullidae. Habitat: marine.
