Current status: Valid as Paraletharchus pacificus (Osburn & Nichols 1916). Ophichthidae: Ophichthinae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: southern tip of Baja California Sur and Gulf of California (Mexico) south to Panama, including Cocos Island (Costa Rica). Habitat: marine.
