Non-types: AMS IA.24687.001 (4). Type catalog: Hutchins & Smith 1991:14 [ref. 19335], Moore et al. 2008:15 [ref. 30117]. Authors say 29 paratypes, but numbers given add up to 30. •Valid as Craterocephalus centralis Crowley & Ivantsoff 1990 -- (Crowley & Ivantsoff 1992:279 [ref. 20015], Unmack 2001:1061 [ref. 25797], Allen et al. 2002:128 [ref. 25930], Larson et al. 2005:84 [ref. 28361], Paxton et al. 2006:705 [ref. 28995], Ivantsoff & Allen 2011:54 [ref. 31135], Larson et al. 2013:62 [ref. 32988]). Current status: Valid as Craterocephalus centralis Crowley & Ivantsoff 1990. Atherinidae: Craterocephalinae. Distribution: Northern Territory, Australia. Habitat: freshwater.
