Paratypes: USNM 204302-04 (2, 1, 2). •Valid as Amphiprion chagosensis Allen 1972 -- (Allen 1991:236 [ref. 19344], Winterbottom et al. 1989:45 [ref. 13251], Zajonz et al. 2019:85 [ref. 36871] as cf. chagosensis, Parenti 2021:45 [ref. 38418]). Current status: Valid as Amphiprion chagosensis Allen 1972. Pomacentridae: Pomacentrinae. Distribution: Indian Ocean: Chagos Archipelago (British Indian Ocean Territory) endemic. Habitat: marine.
