Described as a new species, not same as (and preoccupied by) Barbus miolepis Boulenger 1902 from Zaire. Objectively invalid. Barbus werneri Boulenger 1905 is a replacement name. •Synonym of Enteromius stigmatopygus (Boulenger 1903) -- (Hayes & Armbruster 2017:355 [ref. 35417]). 1°Homonym.
