Lectotype selected by Roberts & Catania 2008:93 [ref. 29794] but apparently not from the type series. •Should be referred to the genus Onychostoma -- (Roberts & Catania 2008:96 [ref. 29794]). •Synonym of Scaphiodonichthys acanthopterus (Fowler 1934) -- (Kottelat 2001:40 [ref. 25482], Kottelat 2013:159 [ref. 32989] with question).
