kannikattiensis, Puntius Arunachalam [M.] & Johnson [J. A.] 2003:476, Figs. 2, 3 a-c (top) [Journal of the Bombay Natural History Society v. 99 (pt 3) [2002]; ref. 26927] Ullar, a tributary of Tamiraparani River, above Karaiyar reservoir, Kannikatti region (Kalakad Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve), 8°35"30"N, 77°20'25"E, Tirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu, India, elevation 600 meters. Holotype: ZSI/SRS F.6147. Paratypes: SPKCES F.4 (19), ZSI/SRS F.6148 (2). •Valid as Dravidia kannikattiensis (Arunachalam & Johnson 2003) -- (Pethiyagoda et al. 2012:78 [ref. 32071]). •Valid as Haludaria kannikattiensis (Arunachalam & Johnson 2003) -- (Pethyigoda 2013:199 [ref. 32691], Bleher 2018:548 [ref. 36647]). Current status: Valid as Haludaria kannikattiensis (Arunachalam & Johnson 2003). Cyprinidae: Smiliogastrinae. Distribution: Tamil Nadu, India. Habitat: freshwater.
