Paratypes: ANSP, INHS, NIFI, UF, ZRC. •Valid as Acantopsis rungthipae Boyd, Nithirojpakdee & Page 2017 -- (Boyd et al. 2018:[7] [ref. 36347], Taki et al. 2021:193 [ref. 39830]). Current status: Valid as Acantopsis rungthipae Boyd, Nithirojpakdee & Page 2017. Cobitidae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Mekong and Chao Phraya River basins, southwestern and central Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. Habitat: freshwater.
