Paratypes: ANSP 15896 (1), 15897 (3 c&s); CAS-SU 9318 (1); GCRL 12605 (32); LACM W51-246 (1); USNM 280196 (5). •Valid as Atherinella serrivomer Chernoff 1986 -- (Chernoff 1986:243 [ref. 5847], Lavenberg & Chernoff in Fischer et al. 1995:897 [ref. 22829], Chirichigno F. & Vélez D. 1998:195 [ref. 24555], Dyer in Reis et al. 2003:517 [ref. 27061], Barriga Salazar 2014:117 [ref. 35745], Jiménez-Prado et al. 2015:401 [ref. 34894]). Current status: Valid as Atherinella serrivomer Chernoff 1986. Atherinopsidae: Menidiinae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Colombia, Ecuador, Panama and Peru. Habitat: brackish, marine.
