Paratypes: ANSP 176236 (3), SIO 97-215 (3), LACM 32275 (4), UAZ 89-1-1 (101, 16 c&s), USNM 346391 (26); plus additional maerial. •Valid as Acanthemblemaria atrata Hastings & Robertson 1999 -- (Herrera & Lavenberg 2002:10 [ref. 25975], Patzner et al. 2009:468 [ref. 30396]). Current status: Valid as Acanthemblemaria atrata Hastings & Robertson 1999. Chaenopsidae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific. Habitat: marine.
