Types apparently not distributed as stated. •Valid as Arcos decoris Briggs 1969 -- (Allen & Robertson 1994:85 [ref. 22193], Béarez et al. 2008:478 [ref. 32869]). Current status: Valid as Arcos decoris Briggs 1969. Gobiesocidae: Gobiesocinae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific. Habitat: marine.

Syntypes: USNM 29248 (orig. 2, now 1).
