Neotype designated by Dawson 1974:423 [ref. 7122]. •Valid as Cerdale ionthas Jordan & Gilbert 1882 -- (Dawson 1974:417 [ref. 7122], Allen & Robertson 1994:270 [ref. 22193]). Current status: Valid as Cerdale ionthas Jordan & Gilbert 1882. Microdesmidae: Microdesminae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific. Habitat: brackish, marine.
