Holotype: LACM 23188 [ex AHF 909]. Paratypes: CAS-SU 39958-60 (1, 1, 1), 67364 (1, c&s); LACM 23189-92 (1, 1, 1, 2). Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:90 [ref. 12291]. •Valid as Dactyloscopus lacteus (Myers & Wade 1946) -- (Dawson 1975:40 [ref. 7121], Grove & Lavenberg 1997:518 [ref. 24023], Herrera & Lavenberg 2002:4 [ref. 25975], Patzner et al. 2009:472 [ref. 30396], McCosker & Rosenblatt 2010:193 [ref. 30957]). Current status: Valid as Dactyloscopus lacteus (Myers & Wade 1946). Dactyloscopidae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Galápagos Islands. Habitat: marine.
