Hoplunnis is apparently feminine. •Possibly a junior synonym of Hoplunnis sicarius (Garman 1889) -- (MCZ type catalog, fide D. G. Smith). •Valid as Hoplunnis pacifica Lane & Stewart 1968 -- (Smith 1989:578 [ref. 13285], Bussing & López S. 1994:40 [ref. 23101], De La Cruz Agüero et al. 1997:240 [ref. 24545], Chirichigno F. & Vélez D. 1998:134 [ref. 24555], Nelson et al. 2004:65 [ref. 27807], Page et al. 2013:65 [ref. 32708], Page et al. 2023:55 [ref. 40505]). Current status: Valid as Hoplunnis pacifica Lane & Stewart 1968. Nettastomatidae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific. Habitat: marine.
