Paratypes: CICIMAR 2039 (1), 4922 (35); CIBN 1886 (50), 3001 (2); IBUN-AM P9529 (2), Plus non-type material in Appendix 1. •Valid as Lile nigrofasciata Castro-Aguirre, Ruiz-Campos & Balart 2002 -- (Nelson et al. 2004:67 [ref. 27807], Love et al. 2005:26 [ref. 37547], Di Dario et al. 2011:549 [ref. 31478], Page et al. 2013:68 [ref. 32708], Romero-Berny et al. 2018:89 [ref. 35859], Love et al. 2021:44 [ref. 39279]). Current status: Valid as Lile nigrofasciata Castro-Aguirre, Ruiz-Campos & Balart 2002. Dorosomatidae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: southern California (U.S.A.) south to northern Peru, including Gulf of California (Mexico). Habitat: marine.
