Current status: Valid as Opistognathus rosenblatti Allen & Robertson 1991. Opistognathidae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Pacific coast of Baja California Sur (Mexico), southern Gulf of California and Revillagigedo Islands (Mexico). Habitat: marine.
