Also appeared as new in Günther 1862:374 [5] [ref. 1968] as Cremnobates monophthalmus. •Valid as Paraclinus monophthalmus (Günther 1861) -- (Allen & Robertson 1994:235 [ref. 22193], Hastings in Fischer et al. 1995:1014 [ref. 22829], Patzner et al. 2009:464 [ref. 30396], González-Murcia et al. 2019:295 [ref. 36544], Fricke et al. 2024:503 [ref. 41622]). Current status: Valid as Paraclinus monophthalmus (Günther 1861). Labrisomidae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Mexico south to Panama. IUCN (2010): Least Concern. Habitat: marine.
